According to the distance template in the door lock instruction, make holes, chisel the support socket, lock plate and lock box holes, so as to make preparations before installation.
Step 1: according to the product manual, stick the distance template (provided by the manufacturer) made of the newly purchased door lock paper or cardboard at the appropriate position beside the door.
Step 2: use the electric drill of the hole saw to drill holes for the lock core according to the specified size. The drill point shall penetrate the other side of the door, and then the other side of the door shall complete the drilling. (Note: do not damage the finish on the other side of the door)
Step 3: drill a comfortable sized hole on the side of the station until it is connected to the hole of the lock cylinder (keep the right angle between the drill point and the door). Grind the edge of the hole with sandpaper.
Step 4: insert the locking tongue into the hole, fix it, and draw the outline of the locking tongue plate.
Step 5: insert the locking tongue and the locking tongue plate into the mortise chiseled out with a chisel, drill the screw assembly hole, install the screw and fix it in place.
Step 6: insert the outer lock cylinder, make the lock cylinder shaft or connecting rod suitable for the latch assembly, insert the inner lock cylinder, and fix it with screws.
Step 7: determine the correct position of the locking tab on the door frame, drill a hole of proper size and fix it (when installing the locking tab with screws, make it flush with the door frame). It's done.
After the door is painted and dried completely (it is recommended to install the lock again for more than two or three days), the purpose is to prevent the paint from sticking to the lock product, which will affect the appearance and service performance of the product because the chemical gas will corrode the product when the paint is not dried completely, accelerate the change of the surface treatment of the product, and reduce the service life of the lock.
Check whether the drilled holes are accurate, and strictly follow the steps in the product installation instructions. If it is found that the lock switch is not flexible or cannot be opened after the installation of the door lock, the locksmith shall be consulted in time. The distributor of the product or the technical service department and after-sales service department of the manufacturer, so as to solve the problem.
